On Tuesday, August 22, the overall combat situation in Donbas somewhat simplified; eight attacks on Ukrainian positions did not involve almost any artillery or other weaponry, banned by the Minsk agreement.
According to the HQ of the Ukrainian military, the only case of use of heavy weapons was observed in Mariinka and Krasnohorivka, both in Donetsk region. The Ukrainian emplacements in this area came under fire from artillery. Outposts in Avdiivka and Kamyanka also took fire.
Otherwise, the situation in the combat zone was relatively calm; in Donetsk and Krymske (Luhansk region), Russian mercenaries fired small arms and grenade launchers.
