Donbas: ‘Grad’ missile launchers shell Troitske, Luhansk region

Over past 24 hours, Russia-backed militants have launched 39 attacks on Ukrainian positions

Pro-Kremlin mercenaries continue the extensive use of artillery banned by Minsk agreements.

Most of the attacks took place in the Mariupol sector, Donetsk region. 82 mm mines hit Ukrainian positions in Krasnohorivka and Shyrokyne; in Vodyane, the enemy used 120 mm mortars and 122 mm artillery. Maryinka and Pavlopol took fire from large-calibre machineguns, RPGs and small arms.

Nine attacks in the Donetsk sector took place. In Luhanske, Russian militants shelled Ukrainian emplacements from 82 mm mortars, large-calibre machineguns, RPGs and IFV armament. Avdiivka and Verkhnyotoretske were shelled from tanks and 82 and 120 mm mortars.  

In Luhansk region, the ceasefire was violated 12 times. In Troitske, the enemy used multiple missile launchers BM-21 Grad. In Novozvanivka, they opened fire from 122 mm artillery systems. Krymske, Novoolexandrivka and Stanytsia Luhanska took fire, too.
