The provocative attacks are taking place all along the division line in war-torn eastern Ukraine – in spite of the ceasefire offered by parties to the Minsk negotiation group.

Luhanske, Donetsk region, was one of the hottest flashpoints, with pro-Russian mercenaries firing from mortars, IFVs and small arms. Enemy sniper squads opened fire near Mayorske, Avdiivka and Verkhnyotoretske; RPGs were used during attacks on Verkhnyotoretske. Machinegune fire was reported in Avdiivka.

In the Mariupol sector, the enemy opened fire in Vodyane, Shyrokyne and Hnutove. Hostile units used anti-tank missile launchers, RPGs, heavy machineguns and small arms. Outposts of Ukrainian marines went under small arms fire.

In Luhansk region, the enemy activity was minimal; a sniper fired at Ukrainian positions in Stanytsia Luhanska.

The Ukrainian military HQ said that the government troops never returned fire over the last 24 hours.
