The pro-Russian militants shelled the positions of the Ukrainian forces eight times and it led to the injury of three Ukrainian soldiers as the Headquarters of the Joint Forces Operation reported on Facebook.
“On the results of the attacks, three soldiers of the Joint Forces Operation sustained injuries. The detachments, which were shelled by the enemy, responded with the adequate fire from the regular weapon. The losses of the enemy to be specified,” the message said.
Thus, in the responsibility strip of the “Skhid” task force grouping, the militants shelled the Ukrainian team sites twice with the automatic mounted grenade launchers and heavy machine guns near Verkhnyotoretske; with 120 mm mortars near Lebedynske.
In the responsibility strip of the task force grouping “Pivnich,” the militants carried six attacks on the positions of the Joint Forces Operation: three times with the 120mm and 82mm mortars, infantry fighting vehicles and small arms near Novoluhanske; two tomes with 82mm mortars, infantry fighting vehicles, heavy machine guns, and small arms near Popasna; with 120 mm mortars, grenade launchers of different types, heavy machine guns and small arms near Vilny.
As we reported earlier, Ukrainian soldiers eliminated the enemy’s snipers in the Joint Forces Operation zone.
Besides, all the checkpoints on the contact line in the Joint Forces Operation zone will work in a spring mode from March 1.
