On January 14, one Ukrainian soldier died and another two sustained injuries in the Donbas conflict zone as the Headquarters of the Joint Forces Operation (JFO) reported on Facebook.
Thus, the pro-Russian militants violated the ceasefire-regime five times during the last 24 hours.
“In the action strip of the task force “Skhid,” the enemy has fired the positions of the Ukrainian soldiers near Novomykhailivka village from the heavy machine guns, small arms; positions near Pavlopil from the grenade launchers; positions near Starohnativka and near Chermalyk village from the grenade launchers, heavy machine guns, and small arms,” the message said.
Moreover, in the action strip of the task force “Pivnich,” the enemy shelled from the grenade launchers of different systems, heavy machine guns and small arms not far from Hnutove village.
“One soldier of the Joint Forces Operation died and two sustained injuries in the result of the illicit attacks,” the message said.
As we reported, the armed pro-Kremlin mercenaries violated the ceasefire in Donbas 14 times on January 13.
Besides, 65 explosions of mines and explosive items occurred in occupied Donbas and in the gray area in 2018, as a result of which 25 military men died.
