Yesterday, on October 12, Russia-backed militants violated the ceasefire in Donbas seven times. This was reported by JFO HQ.

The enemy applied grenade/rocket launchers and small arms at positions near Avdiivka; automatic machine grenade launchers and small arms - near Maiorske; small arms - near Orikhove.

"Ukrainian troops did not use weapons in response to the enemy's fire provocation. Units of the Joint Forces adhere to the ceasefire and showcase readiness to adequately respond to any insidious actions of the enemy," the statement said.

As we reported earlier, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky believes that he will be able to conclude a peace agreement with Russian President Vladimir Putin, which, in turn, will allow Ukraine to return Donbas and Crimea.

"I believe in this! Otherwise, I would run for the post of the president of Ukraine. It is very difficult and we need the help of the whole world, but I do not lose faith," he stated.
