The pro-Russian militants shelled the positions of Ukrainian military twice in Donbas. They used the weapon with banned calibers as the Joint Forces Operation HQ reported on Facebook.

The attacks were spotted in Luhansk region. The militants shelled the Ukrainian positions near Khutiv Vilny from 120 mm mortars. They launched 42 mines.

In the result of the hostile attacks, two Ukrainian military sustained injuries.

As of noon, January 8, there were no ceasefire violations in Donbas combat area - since the beginning of the day.

Recently, we reported that the Ukrainian side does not withdraw its anti-aircraft missile systems 9KZZ Osa. The OSCE claimed that this is a violation of the Minsk agreements, but Joint Forces Operation staff denies it.

Besides, OSCE recorded 30 explosions in Donbas from January 4 to January 5 evening. The mission also noticed 22 multiple launch rocket systems near Khrustalne settlement in Luhansk region.
