Militants shelled Ukrainian positions in Donbas conflict area nine times over the past 24 hours. There were no losses among Ukrainian soldiers as a result if the hostilities. It was reported by Ukraine’s Army HQ press service in Facebook.

"Today, the situation Donbas conflict area remained tense, but controlled by the Ukrainian army. Since midnight, nine violations of the ceasefire were recorded, six of which happened in Donetsk area, "the report said.

It is reported that the situation was tense in the area of Avdiivka, where the enemy shelled positions of the Ukrainian forces three times from various types of grenade launchers, IFV and small arms. Illegal armed forces shelled 12 mines of 120-mm caliber.  

"Also the enemy shelled Ukrainian soldiers’ positions from small arms near Butivka mine, Verkhnyotoretske and Kamianka on Friday,” the message says.

According to Ukraine’s Army HQ, in Mariupol area, the enemy shelled twice from infantry weapons near Hnutove.

"In Luhansk area, militants shelled 39 mines of 82-mm caliber for almost 30 minutes, and also attacked from anti-tank grenade launcher and IFV on the approaches to Troitske," the press center added.

During most provocations, Ukrainian soldiers opened fire in response. Since the beginning of the day there have been no losses among the Ukrainian forces.

As it was reported earlier since Thursday morning, combat situation in Donbas has not changed; most of the yesterday's attacks took place in Donetsk sector. Russia-backed militants opened fire from small arms, heavy machine guns and RPGs near Butivka coal mine, Avdiivka, and Verkhnyotoretske.
