Donbas conflict: Militants increase attacks in Donetsk area

The enemy shelled Ukrainian positions 17 times during the past day and night

Illegal armed forces in Donbas conflict zone increased the number of attacks in Donetsk region. This was reported by the ATO headquarters press service in Facebook.

 “Starting from 19:00 and almost to 23:00 the enemy shelled Avdiivka area from several directions from 120 and 82-mm mortars, grenade launchers, heavy machine guns, small arms. As a result of these attacks, two Ukrainian soldiers were wounded. In addition, in the evening, militants shelled our positions near Pisky from mortars and grenade launchers, and from small arms they shelled Butivka mine,” the message says.

In Luhansk area the enemy shelled Novozvanivka three times from large-caliber machine guns and shelled twice in Novooleksandrivka. Also at about 23:00 the criminals fired from small-arms at Stanytsia Luhanska.

In Mariupol area, almost at midnight, the enemy shelled Lebedynske from 120 mm mortar and rocket-propelled grenade launchers.

In total for the last 24 hours militants attacked 17 times. As a result of the shelling, two Ukrainian soldiers were wounded. ATO forces opened fire ten times.

As it was reported earlier six shellings were reported during Donbas ceasefire. The number of the provocative shellings is decreased in Donbas Conflict area.
