Situation in Anti-Terrorist Operation (ATO) zone became even worse. Russia-backed terrorist forces attacked positions of Ukrainian Armed Forces 94 times over past day, they were mostly using heavy weapons banned by Minsk agreement. Ten Ukrainian soldiers got wounded, according to ATO HQ on Facebook.
Most of the attacks were recorded in Donetsk direction yesterday. Enemy fired 122 mm artillery systems, 120 and 82 mm mortars, grenade launchers at Troitske. 120 and 82 mm mortars were used to attack Verkhnyotoretske, Luhanske and Opytne. 120 mm mortars and IFV weaponry were used to attack strongholds of Butivka mine. Tanks, mortars of 82 mm caliber and grenade launchers of various types were fired at Avdiivka and Opytne. 82 mm mortars and grenade launchers were fired at Zaytseve. 120 mm mortars, grenade launchers of various types and heavy machine guns were fired at strongholds near Nevelske. Enemy snipers were active near Avdiivka and Verkhnyotoretske.
Mariupol direction became the epicenter of heavy weaponry fire yesterday. Grad-P multiple rocket launcher, 122 mm artillery systems, 120 and 82 mm mortars were used by Russia-backed illegal armed groups to attack positions near Vodiane and Hnutove. Enemy fired 122 mm artillery systems, 120 mm mortars at Shyrokyne, Pavlopil and Krasnohorivka. Militants also fired anti-aircraft guns ZU-23-2 and IFV weaponry at Shyrokyne, while Berezove was attacked with grenade launchers of various types and heavy machine guns. Talakivka was shelled with 120 mm mortars.
In Luhansk direction, Krymske was the hottest spot. Russia-backed forces shelled strongholds in the area using 152 mm artillery systems, tanks, 120 and 82 mm mortars. Enemy fired 120 mm mortars at Popasna and Novooleksandrivka, grenade launchers at strongholds near Katerynivka.
Marinka entry-exit checkpoint was attacked with small arms.
Ukrainian soldiers repeatedly opened return fire in order to suppress enemy’s activity.
