Yesterday, on August 3, units of the State Emergency Service found 40 unknown explosive devices during the demining of the frontline settlements in Donbas. An area of almost two hectares has been demined over the last 24 hours. This was reported by the press service of Ukraine’s Defense Ministry.
In total, since the beginning of the Joint Forces Operation, pyrotechnic units have inspected 8,000 hectares of territory and 23 hectares of water area, seized and neutralized more than 45,000 explosive devices.
As we reported earlier, Observers of the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission (SMM) in Donbas recorded 225 violations of the truce after the ceasefire regime entered into force on July 27.
"From 00:01 July 27 to the end of the reporting period, the mission recorded 225 ceasefire violations," the report reads.
The mission added that the freedom of movement of SMM patrols was restricted at the checkpoint near Yelenivka (not controlled by the Ukrainian government, 23 km south-west of Donetsk).
