Donbas conflict: 28 shelling reported in ATO area over the day

Since the beginning of the day, pro-Russian militants fired at the positions of the Ukrainian military in Donbas 28 times. As a result of the shelling, one Ukrainian serviceman was killed and six others were injured. This is reported by the press center of the ATO headquarters on Facebook.

"Since the beginning of the day, one Ukrainian soldier was killed, six more servicemen were injured," the report said.

At Mariupol direction, from 120-mm and 82-mm mortar shells, grenade launchers and small arms, the enemy fired at our positions near Vodiane. 82-mm mortars and grenade launchers enemy used on Ukrainian strongholds near Shirokine. From the grenade launchers of various systems and large-caliber machine guns, pro-Russian militants  opened fire on the positions of Ukrainian troops near Marinka.

The enemy attacked with  anti-tank grenade launchers our positions near Hnutove, Pavlopil and Krasnohorivka, and with machine guns of large calibers - near Novogrygorivka. From small arms, the enemy fired at our marines near Lebedynske. Enemy snipers worked in the vicinity of Marinka, Bogdanivka and Vodiane.

In the Donetsk direction, with mortar fire militants attacked the defenders of Verkhnyotoretske, and with anti-tank grenade launchers - the defenders of Zaitseve. Using  the large-caliber machine guns, the enemy hit our strongholds near Avdiivka. Militants used grenade launchers of various systems and machine guns of large calibers at positions near Troitske, and large-caliber machine guns and small arms near Kamyanka.
