Donbas conflict: 24 enemy attacks reported over past day

Russia-backed terrorist groups continued shelling ATO positions, in some cases using heavy artillery weapons. Militants opened fire 24 times at positions of Ukrainian Armed Forces since midnight. There were no losses among Ukrainian forces. This was reported by ATO HQ on Facebook.

In Mariupol direction, enemy fired 14 times at strongholds of Ukrainian defenders. Particularly, militants used 120 mm mortars to attack positions near Pavlopil and Hnutove. ATO strongholds near Shyrokyne were shelled by the enemy using 122 mm artillery. Later Russia-backed occupation forces also used 120 and 82 mm mortars near Marinka and Krasnohorivka. Enemy also attacked Ukrainian soldiers in Chermalyk, Novohryhorivka, Novotroitske and Lebedynske using light weapons. 

In Donetsk direction, militants fired 7 times. Ukrainian strongholds near Avdiivka were attacked from 120 and 82 mm mortars, grenade launchers and small arms by the bandits. Ukrainian positions near Kamianka and Verkhnyotoretske also suffered mortar fire. Illegal armed groups opened fire near Zaytseve using grenade launchers of various types. 

In Luhansk direction, Russia-backed militants shelled Ukrainian military three times. All of the attacks were made near Krymske from 120 and 82 mm mortars, grenade launchers, heavy machine guns and small arms.

ATO units are fully controlling the situation along delimitation zone. Ukrainian defenders are ready to fight the enemy back in any part of the frontline if needed.
