Operative situation in ATO zone remains complicated. Russia-backed terrorist groups violated ceasefire regime 34 times since midnight. Luhansk direction suffered most enemy fire today. Two Ukrainian military officers were killed, eleven got wounded as a result of hostilities in the area. This was reported by ATO HQ on Facebook.
Luhansk direction was the epicenter of enemy’s firing activity. Ukrainian defenders near Novotoshkivske and Krymske were intensively attacked by militants from 152 and 122 mm artillery systems, 120 and 82 mm mortars, sometimes grenade launchers, heavy machine guns and IFV weaponry. Illegal armed groups fired grenade launchers near Zolote and Stanytsia Luhanska in the same direction. Heavy machine guns were used near Novooleksandrivka.
In Mariupol direction, insurgents attacked Ukrainian positions from multiple-launch rocket systems. 120 mm mortars were used near Shyrokyne. Grenade launchers and small arms were fired at ATO strongholds near Pavlopil, Vodiane and Marinka.
In Donetsk direction, militants attacked Avdiivka surroundings using 122 mm artillery. Luhanske and Zaytseve were systematically attacked by Russia-backed gunmen with infantry weapons and 82 mm mortars.
