Today, in Donbas, near the village of Zolote-4, as a result of a collision with an unknown explosive device (probably an anti-tank mine TM-62), a GAZ-66 truck was blown up by one of the Joint Forces units that carried out logistics support measures. The head of the Joint Forces Operation reports it.
As a result of the explosion, one soldier was killed, another was seriously injured.
An investigation team works at the scene of the explosion, which finds out all the circumstances of the incident.
"The command of the Joint Forces expresses deep condolences to the relatives and friends of the deceased soldier," the headquarters said.
As we reported, last year, the Ukrainian military, who were involved in the operation in Donbas, was paid more than $1 million. 3,519 military personnel who took part in the hostilities received more than $880 thousands; 753 military personnel received more than $120 thousand for the successful completion of combat missions; 308 troops received more than $70 thousand for the destruction of weapons and military equipment of the militants.
