Over the past 24 hours, Russian militants opened fire 26 times, hitting Ukrainian positions in Donbas. That resulted in a combat injury for one Ukrainian fighter, the HQ of the Joint Forces Operation reported.
In Luhansk region, the enemy used automatic grenade launchers, heavy machineguns and small arms; they attacked Krymske and Stanytsia Luhanska, Svitlodarsk and Novoluhanske. In Donetsk region, militants launched attacks on Pivdenne and Avdiivka.
In Mariupol sector, the attacks were observed in Shyrokyne, Talakivka and Vodyane, where the armed formations opened fire from RPGs and small arms.
The Ukrainian military intelligence added that one of the Russian militants deceased over the mentioned period.
Earlier, a soldier died during a load of the armored equipment on the railway transporter in Kharkiv region. Vostok, the Operational Command of Ukrainian Armed Forces claimed it on Facebook. ‘An accident happened in Chuhuiv district in Kharkiv on July 3. Oleksandr Skus, a tank driver of one of the military units of the Operational Command sustained injuries incompatible with life. At the moment, circumstances of the accident are being investigated,’ reads the message. According to the initial information, breach of safety regulations caused the death of the soldier.
