Over the past 24 hours, Russian mercenaries attacked Ukrainian positions in the war-torn Donbas 17 times.

According to the HQ of the Joint Forces Operation, the militants attacked certain areas in Donetsk, Mariupol and Luhansk regions. Mortar attacks were observed near Krymske, Luhansk region. The enemy also used IFVs to open fire in this area.

In Donetsk region, the terrorists mostly used small arms, RPGs, heavy machineguns; they attacked Vodyane, using anti-tank guided missiles. 

Since midnight, only two attacks were reported.

The Ukrainian troops took no casualties.

As we previously reported, the Armed Forces of Ukraine re-gained control over Zolote-4 village, Luhansk region. ‘About 300 locals, 40 of whom are school-aged children have been suffering from the absence of social, medical support and authorities, from everyday searches, inspection at the checkpoints and absolute absence of confidence in the future. The village was situated directly at the line of contact. The 'Self-Defense' consisting of the reserve of Joint Forces operation's Commander remained in the village and strengthened the position. The village is taken under full control,’ the volunteer said.

Dmytro Tymchuk, the MP confirmed the fact of taking the village under control.

Reportedly, the Armed Forces of Ukraine moved forward, re-taking Pivdenne village, which is situated near the occupied Horlivka in Donetsk region.

A ceasefire came into force in Donbas on July 1. Notwithstanding, the militants kept shelling the Ukrainian positions.
