On February 19, the illegal armed formations of Russian occupants attacked Ukrainian positions in Donbas 16 times. On 15 occasions, the enemy used weapons banned by Minsk agreements. The Joint Forces Operation HQ reported that on Facebook on Wednesday morning.
The Minsk-banned weaponry was used 15 times, as 387 shells and mines of 122, 120 and 82 mm landed near the targets. 'It is the most extensive case of use of such weapons since the beginning of the year,' the HQ reported.
The occupants shelled Lebedynske, Vodyane and Hnutove (all in Donetsk region). Most of the attacks appeared to take place in Luhansk region; Ukrainian outposts in Novotoshkivske, Zolote-4, Novozvanivka, Katerynivka and Luhanske came under fire.
Three Ukrainian servicemen were wounded in action.
Three Russian mercenaries were killed, and three more wounded in combat.
Since the early hours of February 20, the militants attacked Katerynivka once.
