Illegal armed units of the self-proclaimed Donetsk and Luhansk People’s Republics continue using Minsk-banned heavy weaponry to shell Ukrainian emplacements and residential quarters in Donbas.

In Mariupol sector, militants deployed artillery strikes not far from Mariinka and Krasnohorivka. Heavy fire was reported in that area, since the enemy actually used all kinds of weaponry – from small arms and RPGS to heavy mortars and 122 mm artillery systems.

A residential quarter went under fire in Mariinka. No casualties reported, the HQ of the Ukrainian military said.

Enemy troops also opened fire in Shyrokyne, Hnutove, Vodyane and Lebedynske.

In Donetsk sector, Russia-sponsored mercenaries used mortars, RPGs, small arms and anti-tank missile launchers to attack Ukrainian servicemen defending Avdiivka and Kamyanka. Tanks opened fire on Kamyanka. In Zaitseve and Luhanske, armed gangs fired from IFV guns, RPGs and heavy machineguns.

An enemy sniper opened fire once in Novooleksandrivka, Luhansk region.
