Militants of the terrorist group 'DNR' (Donetsk People's Republic, - 112 International) held the combat drills in the safety zone in Donbas. The Joint Forces Operation HQ posted this on Facebook, referring to the OSCE SMM report.
'On February 12, members of the OSCE SMM were patrolling the northwestern area of Donetsk region not far from Sofiivka (non-controlled by the Ukrainian government); they spotted ten explosions and found three T-72 tanks at about 2-3 kilometers away from their positions. By the estimates of the observers, these were the drills conducted within the safety zone', the HQ reported.
Taking such action is a violation of the decision of the Trilateral Contact Group, which forbids any drills with the use of live ammunition within the safety zone.
Earlier, we reported that on February 14, the Russian occupants attacked Ukrainian positions in Donbas 12 times. The Joint Forces Operation HQ reported that on Facebook.
The enemy fired 120 and 82 mm mortars, RPGs and opened fire from IFVs, attacking the outposts of the Ukrainian forces near Pisky. In the vicinities of Opytne, the pro-Kremlin mercenaries used IFVs and 82 mm mortars. 120 mm mines hit Verkhnyotoretske. The defenders of Avdiivka deterred the attack, during which the militants fired 82 mm mortars, grenade launchers and heavy machine guns.
