Pro-Russian militants do not give security guarantees for repair work on power lines in the Avdiivka area to restore the city's electricity supply. This is said in the statement of the Ukrainian side in Joint Center for Monitoring and Coordination of the ceasefire regime, posted on the ATO HQ press center page on Facebook.
The statement emphasizes that after the damage to the power transmission line as a result of enemy fire, the leadership of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and the military civil administration immediately took comprehensive measures to provide security guarantees for the life and health of repair workers during the inspection and emergency repair operations.
"However, starting from April 21 up to the present time, such works could not be carried out due to the lack of similar guarantees from the illegal armed formations of the ORDO, and it should be noted that according to the Russian side of the Joint Center for Monitoring and Coordination, guarantees for carrying out emergency repair operations may be provided only on Monday, April 24 this year, "- noted in the Center.
In the Center such actions of militants are regarded as a flagrant violation of the norms of international law, disregard for the Minsk agreements and the conscious creation of prerequisites for further aggravation of the conflict, as well as deterioration of the humanitarian situation in the region.
