Workers of the Office of Prosecutor General informed a Ukrainian citizen of suspicion of the membership of an illegal armed unit of the so-called Donetsk People's Republic. Another charge is the violent treatment of civilian captives and POWs. The press department of the Office of Prosecutor General reported that on February 6.

The investigation team found out that the man threatened to kill unarmed people putting a gun against their heads; he beat them up, simulated an execution through shooting and held the prisoners in inhumane conditions. The defendant served with the so-called Ministry of State Security of the "DNR".

Besides, the investigation claims that the man tortured the captured fighters of the National Guard of Ukraine.
