‘DNR’ militant gets 10 years of suspended sentence

The militant of the Donetsk People’s Republic by a nickname Cat got 10 years of the suspended sentence. The press service of the Security Service of Ukraine reports this.

According to the report, the resident of Kherson moved to the temporarily occupied territories of Donetsk and Luhansk and entered the illegal armed terrorist groups in the temporary occupied Debaltseve in summer, 2014.

Afterward, he was appointed a commander of the battalion of the so-called Armed Forces of the Donetsk People’s Republic.

“As a member of the terrorist group, he was responsible for the selection and training of specialized personnel and organization of control over the militants on duty at the checkpoints. He also organized the passing through the checkpoints to seized administrative buildings and territories. Terrorists awarded the man with the special medal For the military services for the active participation in combat operations against ATO forces,” the report said.

The Kostiantynivskyi city court of Donetsk region found the militant guilty of committing a crime under part 1 of article 258-3 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The period of serving the punishment starts from the day of detention and sentence.
