Over the last weekend, six Ukrainian army servicemen, all heavily wounded in combat in Donbas, were taken to the hospital in Dnipro. Serhiy Ryzhenko, the chief doctor of the hospital said that in his commentary to 112 Ukraine TV channel.
‘The weekend was tough. We took in six men and put them into intensive care; all of them suffered either gunshot or shrapnel wounds. The last guy we took in had a severe head wound – most likely, the consequences of a sniper shot. Neurosurgeons are doing everything within their grasp to save him,’ he said.
According to Ryzhenko, currently the hospital works in the enhanced mode, but there’s enough resources to take care of the patients. ‘Over the last several days, we transfused over 10 liters of blood’, the doctor said.
