The disengagement of the forces in Zolote and Petrovske in Donbas will begin on Monday, October 7, as Interfax-Ukraine reported citing OSCE Special Representative at Trilateral Contact Group Martin Sajdik.

“The Trilateral Contact Group succeeded to determine a particular date – October 7 – for renewal of the disengagement of the forces and means in the areas Zolote and Petrovske,” Sajdik said.

According to him, this step, as well as the signing of Steinmeier formula, was made on demand of Normandy Four. Sajdik expressed hope that the Trilateral Contact Group will facilitate further work in Normandy Format.

As we reported, the sides agreed on the beginning of the disengagement of the forces in Zolote (Luhansk region) and Petrovske (Donetsk region) during the Trilateral Contact Group session.

Earlier, Zelensky stated that Ukraine reported on the agreement of Steinmeier formula text in response to the letter of OSCE Special Representative in Trilateral Contac Group Martin Sajdik.

Besides, the issue of the next stage of prisoners’ release was discussed at the session of the Trilateral Contact Group on Donbas.
