A delegation of German politicians and businessmen came to the annexed Crimea to "personally form an opinion on what is happening there." This is reported by RIA Novosti referring to the head of the German national-cultural autonomy of the peninsula Yuri Hempel.
According to him, the delegation consisted of ten people, mostly businessmen who deal with real estate issues, and politicians at the regional level - deputies from the "Left" party.
The delegation plans to get acquainted with the sights of Yalta and Sevastopol, and also meet in Simferopol with the "head" of the Crimean "parliament" Vladimir Konstantinov.
Earlier, Deputy Head of the Russian State Duma Committee on Nationalities Ruslan Balbek declared about "the first visit of Ukrainian politicians" to the occupied Crimea.
In turn, NSDC Secretary Oleksander Turchinov instructed the SBU to check information about the visit of Ukrainian politicians and politicians from other countries to Crimea to impose sanctions against them.
