Ukraine’s military deny another portion of fake information provided by Russia-backed militants

The Armed Forces of Ukraine plan no evacuation for local residents in the area of Debaltseve, Donetsk region; this is where the Ukrainian forces allegedly planned to launch the offensive, Russia-backed rebels say.

Spokesman of Ukraine’s Defense Ministry Colonel Andriy Lysenko said this at today’s briefing in Kyiv. ‘This outrageous statement is a fake. The Ukrainian military forces stay in their positions, right on the division line. No operations planned,’ he stressed.

He urged the media to stop spreading such news, and expressed hope that militants would stop terrifying the locals with such statements.

Previously, the Kremlin-sponsored mercenaries from the self-proclaimed DNR, Donetsk People’s Republic, said that the Ukrainian military began to evacuate the locals from Svitlodarsk and Myronivsky inhabited localities. That, they said, was due to preparations for the upcoming offensive by the government troops.
