Over the course of March 6, one Ukrainian serviceman lost his life in the combat area in Donbas. The country's defense ministry spokesman Dmytro Hutsulyak reported that on Wednesday briefing in Kyiv.

'An Armed Forces soldier, born in 1997, deceased due to an attack of Russian occupant forces', he said.

On March 6, pro-Kremlin militants and regular Russian army units shelled Ukrainian army emplacements three times.

In Luhansk region, the enemy used RPGs and heavy machineguns to attack positions near Luhanske. Automatic grenade launchers and small arms were used in the area of Malynove.

In Donetsk region, hostile units opened fire in Avdiivka.

The ceasefire offered by the parties of the Minsk talks group has obviously failed, as Russian mercenaries continue to shell Ukrainian positions in Donbas. First attacks commenced a few hours after Monday midnight when the armistice was supposed to take effect.
