As we reported earlier, Ukraine’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs strongly condemns the attempts of any contacts with the so-called republics of the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine. This was stated by the Ministry's Press Secretary Kateryna Zelenko regarding the pronouncements about the involvement of Temporarily occupied and uncontrolled territories of Ukraine in the Normandy Format, the press service of the Ministry informed.

"Such contacts, albeit disguised as ‘mediation’, in no way contribute to peace, but on the contrary are harmful – those that are aimed at legitimizing Russia's crimes against the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine and international law in general," Zelenko said.

She claims that the formula for establishing peace in Ukraine is simple – disengagement of forces and regaining control over the border.
