On October 26, Russian militants landed seven attacks on Ukrainian positions in Donbas combat area. The enemy used artillery that is banned by Minsk agreements. That cost one Ukrainian serviceman his life, another man was injured in action. Ukraine's Defense Ministry reported that on Tuesday.

Near Hranitne, the enemy opened fire from 122 mm cannons. In the area of Novozvanivka, the occupants opened fire from grenade launchers and heavy machine guns. Not far from Pavlopil, they launched a drone that dropped the rocket-propelled grenades. 122 mm artillery shells hit Krymske.

The HQ of the Joint Forces Operation denied the informantion that appeared in one of the Ukrainian media on October 26. The outlet claimed that Ukrainian forces re-took the village of Staromariivka, Donetsk region. The denial was published on the Facebook page of the HQ

On Tuesday, the official of so-called "Foreign Ministry of Donetsk People's Republic" stated that Ukrainian forces attempted to take the village. Later that day, Babel cited a source in Ukraine's Defense Ministry that said the attempt was successful, and the troops remained in Staromariivka on October 25.

The HQ of the Joint Forces Operation claims that positions of Ukrainian forces remain unchanged.
