Day in Donbas: Two Ukrainian soldiers wounded in combat

Russian occupants opened fire 30 times, using heavy-caliber guns

On June 16, Russian invaders launched 30 attacks on Ukrainian positions in Donbas. That, in particular, included the use of Minsk-banned weaponry, the HQ of the Joint Forces Operation reports.

Most of the attacks were observed in Donetsk region. Six attacks occurred in the vicinities of Vodyane; in Talakivka, the enemy opened fire twice. More skirmishes were observed in Pavlopol, Novotroitske, Lebedynske, Pishchevik, Bohdanivka, Opytne, Shyrokyne and Novohnativka. The illegal armed gangs fired 82 mm and 120 mm mortars, automatic grenade launchers, heavy machine guns and small arms.

In Luhansk region, Russian militants attacked Ukrainian positions seven times. The emplacements near Pivdenne came under fire from the IFV armament. In Krymske, the enemy fired heavy machine guns and small arms. Action was also observed in Novotoshkivske, and Stanytsia Luhanska.

Two Ukrainian servicemen were wounded in combat.
