Two servicemen of the Joint Forces operation died, and another four were wounded and seven more sustained injuries in the Donbas combat zone on June 7. The press service of the JFO HQ reported this on Facebook.
The Armed Forces of Ukraine opened fire to suppress the hostile activity; the enemy’s casualties are being checked yet.
The occupants have violated the ceasefire regime 12 times since the beginning of the day.
The pro-Kremlin militants opened fired at the positions of our subdivisions with Minsk-banned weaponry, in particular, with 122 mm artillery system and 120 mm mortar, as well as with infantry fighting vehicle, grenade launchers of various systems, heavy machine guns, and small arms.
Artillery attacks in Donbas on June 7 lasted for an hour; militants launched 18 artillery shells.
“At night Russian occupation troops performed attack at the positions of the Joint Forces Operation near Novoluhanske. Enemy’s shelling from 120mm mortars and 122mm tube artillery was recorded at 12:30 am. The fire was directed at Kalynivske village and lasted for an hour. The enemy launched 18 artillery and 11 mortar shells,” the message reads.
