Over the past day, June 7, the militants 28 times violated the ceasefire in Donbas, including three times using prohibited weapons. This is reported by the JFO HQ press center on Facebook.
In Donetsk sector the enemy fired at the Ukraine's positions 21 times. Four fighters lost their lives. Teh attacks took place near Novoselivka, Pavlopil, Vodyane, Marinka, Hnutove and Avdiivka.
In Luhansk sector the pro-Russian militants fired at the positions of our defenders near Novoluhanske, Stanytsia Luhanska, Krymske, Travneve and Zaitseve.
The JFO headquarters noted that the armed forces of the Russian Federation bombarded the positions of our defenders using the armament of infantry fighting vehicles, anti-tank missile systems, grenade launchers of various systems, large-caliber machine guns and automatic small arms.
"As a result of enemy shellings, two soldiers of the Joint Forces died, five were wounded and seven people were injured. For each attack the enemy received an adequate response. According to intelligence data, on June 7, two occupants were destroyed and another one was injured," the report said.
From the beginning of the current day, the enemy fired at positions of the Ukrainian military once near Shyrokine. It is noted that the Joint forces control the militants on the contact line, while respecting the conditions of the cease-fire.
Earlier it was reported that on the night of June 7, the militants fired at the Ukrainian positions in Donbas from artillery. As a result of the shelling, two Ukrainian soldiers died.
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky said that the Ukrainian military would respond to such situations "strictly and in accordance with the situation."
