Since the beginning of the day, February 18, Russian militants have twice breached the ceasefire in Donbas. Press office of Ukraine's Defense Ministry reported that on Thursday evening.
In Donetsk region, the enemy attacked Ukrainian positions near Pivdenne, using heavy machine gun. In Luhansk region, the mercenaries opened fire near Shumy. The Ukrainian side reported the use of anti-tank grenade launcher, small arms and sniper rifles.
Ukrainian officers from the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination sent the report to the OSCE monitoring mission. No combat losses were observed over the day.
Earlier, we wrote that pro-Kremlin mercenaries have captured more territory in Donetsk and Luhansk regions that the area envisaged in the text of Minsk agreements. Serhiy Harmash, the representative of Ukrainian delegation in Minsk talks group posted that on Facebook. The message appeared after the online conference of political subdivision of the Minsk group on Tuesday, February 16.
"We've been trying to sort out the way Russian envoys treat the territory of temporarily occupied districts of Donbas. Because the territory that the Russian illegal armed formations de-facto captured is 1,400 kilometers bigger than that prescribed in Minsk agreements", Harmash wrote.
