Over the last 24 hours, Russian mercenaries breached the ceasefire twice. No combat losses were observed among the government troops, HQ of the Joint Forces Operation says.
Both ceasefire violations were observed in Donetsk region; in Mariinka, the enemy opened fire from small arms, and in Starohnativka, pro-Kremlin bandits fired an under-barrel grenade launcher.
No shooting has occurred since the beginning of the day, November 16.
Earlier, Foreign Ministries of Germany and France issued a joint statement in which they demanded Russia and the militants to open a checkpoints on the Donbas demarcation line. The text of the statement was published on the website of the German Foreign Ministry.
"We call on Russia and the separatists to reopen all existing crossing points on the contact line in the Donetsk region without delay. Thousands of people wanting to see doctors, draw pensions or visit relatives are currently prohibited from crossing the contact line. The conflict must not be allowed to continue to be waged at the expense of the population, and the divides must not be allowed to widen," the statement informs.
