Since the beginning of the day, May 26, two violations of the ceasefire have been reported in the Donbas conflict zone. The militants fired with grenade launchers of various systems, machine guns, and small arms, the press service of the Joint Forces Operation (JFO) headquarters reports.

All attacks took place in Luhansk sector.

The hostile forces used anti-tank grenade launchers, large-caliber machine guns, and small arms to fire in Hnutove.

The militants used automatic grenade launchers, large-caliber machine guns, and small arms to attack Ukrainian strongholds near Krasnohorivka.

No losses among the Ukrainian servicemen were reported.
Earlier, officials of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) said that Donbas conflict became less tense after the inauguration of President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky as Izvestia reported citing Head of DPR People’s Militia Eduard Basurin.

According to the representative of the illegal armed formations, the number of attacks decreased and the heavy weapons were almost not used in the conflict zone, as Zelensky assumed the office.

However, Basurin supposed that such state of affairs in Donbas might be temporary.

According to him, the self-proclaimed DPR does not know how the new Ukrainian authority would act.

Rodion Miroshnyk, the official representative of the self-proclaimed Luhansk People’s Republic (LPR) at Minsk Talks Group added that they expected the ceasefire order, disengagement of troops and armistice agreement.

Only then, the situation at the contact line will really change.
