On Friday, January 18, the pro-Russian militants twice violated the ceasefire in Donbas conflict zone. No losses among the Ukrainian military reported, informs the JFO HQ press center on Facebook.
“The strongholds of our defenders were fired twice from grenade launchers of various systems, large-caliber machine guns, and an enemy sniper was spotted near the village of Hnutove in the action area of Vostok operational-tactical group,” the headquarters said.
They noted that no losses among the Ukrainian military reported today as a result of the shelling by the Russian occupation forces. The Ukrainian military continues to monitor the actions of the enemy on the line of contact, respecting the conditions of the ceasefire.
Yesterday Russian occupant forces also opened fire in Donbas, delivering 13 attacks on positions of the Ukrainian government forces. One Ukrainian serviceman was wounded in combat, the Defense Ministry reports.
The militants used Minsk-banned mortars in Luhansk region; 82 mm mortar mines hit the Ukrainian outposts near Krymske. When attacking Pivdenne, they also used small arms, heavy machine guns, automatic grenade launchers and anti-tank missile launchers.
The enemy also shelled Pisky from automatic grenade launchers. In Nevelske, the mercenaries attacked Ukrainian positions twice, using small arms.
More firefights were reported in Slavne, Opytne and Krasnohorivka.
The Ukrainian military intelligence reported three fatalities among the enemy fighters.
