Day in Donbas: Twelve attacks by pro-Russian militants, two soldiers injured

During the day, July 7, the pro-Russian militants violated the ceasefire in Donbas 12 times and used weapons of prohibited calibers. This is reported by Joint Forces Operation (JFO) HQ.

The enemy fired at positions of the Ukrainian military seven times in the Donetsk sector. The hostile forces used the anti-tank grenade launchers, large-caliber machine guns, and small arms to attack our strongholds near Shyrokyne three times; IFV weapons - to fire near Bohdanivka; tanks, grenade launchers of various systems and weapons of infantry fighting vehicles to shell positions near Vodiane.

In Luhansk sector, the occupiers violated the ceasefire five times. Using the mortars of 82 mm caliber, they fired positions near Novoluhanske. They used the 120 mm caliber mortars to attack Ukrainian posts near Popasna and Zolote-4; and the anti-tank missile system to attck near Mayorske settlement.

As a result of the enemy shellings, two Ukrainian soldiers received combat injuries.

As we reported, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky and President of the European Council Donald Tusk visited the Luhansk region. This was reported by JFO HQ.

Zelensky and Tusk familiarized themselves with the situation in the Joint Forces Operation zone, talked with OSCE representatives and local residents. They also saw evidence of Russian aggression. Ukrainian military showed ammunition to the occupiers, which was found during the clearance of the territory.

On the territory of Stanytsia Luhanska checkpoint, Zelensky honored the memory of the Ukrainian military, who died during enemy shelling.

In addition, Zelensky checked new JFO positions in the separation of forces area. He also noted that he was going to build a new bridge at the site of the destroyed one.
