Since the beginning of the day, October 2, Russian mercenaries breached the ceasefire three times. Joint Forces Operation HQ reported that on Friday.
The enemy opened fire in Avdiivka and Vodyane. The mercenaries used grenade launchers and small arms to shell Ukrainian positions.
None of Ukrainian servicemen were wounded or killed in action.
Combat engineers cleared five hectares of area from landmines and passed 42 explosive items for further destruction.
Earlier, the European Union noted that the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) still has no access to prisoners in the uncontrolled territories of Donbas as Ukrinform reported citing EU statement concerning Russia’s aggression against Ukraine and illegal occupation of Crimea.
“We repeat our urge for further progress in the issue of new disengagement areas, checkpoints, mine clearance and a prisoner swap. Concerning the last issue, we regret that the ICRC still has no access to people kept in the territories uncontrolled by the government,” the European diplomats said.
The EU insists that the Red Cross should be allowed to visit the prisoners in occupied Donbas.
