Day in Donbas: Three attacks, 82 mm mines hit Novhorodske

On June 1, Russian mercenaries landed three attacks on Ukrainian positions in Donbas. Press office of the Joint Forces Operation HQ reported that on Tuesday.

Not far from Novhorodske, the enemy opened fire twice; at first, the illegal armed formations shelled Ukrainian military emplacements, using 82 mm mortars. During the second attack, they opened fire from stationary grenade launchers and heavy machine guns.

In Pisky, the enemy opened fire from small arms.

No combat losses were observed in the ranks of the Ukrainian military.

Earlier, we reported that a delegation of American senators, Jeanne Shaheen, Robert Portman and Christopher Murphy, reached Ukraine. The officials came to this country to discuss Ukraine's strengthening amidst the Russian aggression. Yevhen Yenin, deputy foreign minister posted this on Facebook.

According to the U.S. Embassy, while staying in Ukraine, the U.S. senators will also address the extension of reforms aimed at strengthening the democracy in Ukraine. 

Last month, US Secretary of the State Antony Blinken came to Ukraine with the official visit. He conducted meetings with Ukrainian MPs, Parliamentary Speaker Dmytro Razumkov, Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba and president Volodymyr Zelensky. During the visit, Blinken promised Ukraine support in its struggle with Russia.
