Russian mercenaries opened fire from mortars and 122 mm artillery, the kinds of weaponry that are banned by Minsk agreements

On May 7, pro-Kremlin armed gangs attacked positions of Ukrainian forces 13 times. The enemy used various kinds of armament, including the weapons banned by Minsk agreement. The HQ of the Joint Forces Operation reported that on May 7.

In Donetsk region, Russian mercenaries landed attacks on Mariinka, Starohnativka, Shyrokyne and Novoselivka II, as well as Avdiivka. 82 mm mortars, anti-tank grenade launchers, heavy machine guns and small arms were used in these firefights. An infantry fighting vehicle opened fire, too. Besides, the enemy used a drone to drop a rocket-propelled grenade on Ukrainian positions near Starohnativka.

In Luhansk region, the militants shelled Novotoshkivske and Orikhove from mortars. 122 mm artillery shells hit the emplacements of the Ukrainian military in Novotoshkivske. 82 mm mines landed in Orikhove.

The attacks resulted in combat injuries among the government forces. Six Ukrainian warriors sustaiend wounds in action.
