Since the beginning of the day, December 21, Russian mercenaries landed six attacks on positions of the Ukrainian military in Donbas. Ukraine's Defense Ministry reported that on Monday.
The enemy shelled Yuzhne, using 82 mm mortars, grenade launchers and small arms.
As a result, two servicemen took fragmentary wounds.
Currently, their condition is stable; they are being treated at a medical facility.
Pro-Kremlin mercenaries also opened fire from heavy machine guns and grenade launchers near Luhanske settlement. The same sort of weaponry was used in the attacks in the vicinities of Shumy.
The militants fired grenade launchers while attacking Vodyane.
The Ukrainian servicemen returned fire.
As we reported earlier, four days ago a Ukrainian serviceman disappeared in Donbas. Headquarters of the Joint Forces Operation stated that he had been captured by local militants.
"On December 17, 2020, the absence of one of the unit's servicemen, which perform tasks in the area of the Joint Forces operation, was revealed during the inspection of the units' personnel. The search did not yield a positive result," the statement said.
It is currently established that the serviceman was detained by the enemy forces.
