Ceasefire in Donbas

Since the beginning of the day, October 13, six ceasefire violations took place in Donbas combat area. The press office of Ukraine's Defense Ministry reported that. 

Russian mercenaries landed three attacks in the area of Zaitsevo, and two in Khutir Vilny (Luhansk region). They used small arms and grenade launchers. Near Pisky and Orikhove, the enemy opened fire from automatic grenade launchers.

The Ukrainian military also downed two hostile drones in the areas of Vodyane and Pishchevik. The UAVs were jammed, thanks to the efforts of jamming devices.

Enemy provocations did not pose any threat to the lives of Ukrainian servicemen; they did not return fire. 

Stanytsia Luhanska checkpoint in Donbas will be closed for quarantine until October 31 as Luhansk Regional State Administration reported.

“Through Stanytsia Luhanska checkpoint, from October 15, the admission of people at the demarcation line will be temporarily stopped by the order of the commander of the Joint Forces from 00:00 a.m. October 15, 2020, until 11:59 p.m., October 31, 2020,” the message said.

The HQ noted that this decision was made to prevent the spread of the coronavirus in the territory of Luhansk region.
