On July 2, Russian forces in Donbas attacked Ukrainian positions six times. The Joint Forces reported that on late Tuesday.
In Donetsk region, the enemy fired 82 mm mines and grenade launchers, heavy machineguns; skirmishes were reported in Mariinka and Lebedynske.
In Luhansk region, Russian troops opened fire in Novoluhanske; on three occasions, they fired 82 mm mortars there.

Minsk trilateral contact group could not reach consensus about the 'harvest ceasefire' and the release of captives in Donbas. Darka Olifer, the press secretary of Leonid Kuchma, Ukraine's representative in the group posted this on Facebook. According to her, this is because of the position of Russian representatives in the group. "In the view of Russia's position, one could not reach any progress - neither in terms of harvest ceasefire nor in terms of release of the detained people", Olifer wrote.
