On August 12, pro-Kremlin mercenaries landed two attacks on Ukrainian positions in Donbas combat area; one Ukrainian serviceman was injured in action. Press office of the Joint Forces Operation HQ reported that on Facebook.
In the vicinities of Pisky, the enemy opened fire from mounted anti-tank grenade launchers. In Novomykhailivka, they fired from small arms.
The injured fighter is in moderately grave condition; he is getting the necessary treatment.
We recently reported that Russian mercenaries have been keeping 295 Ukrainian citizens in captivity in the territory of occupied Donbas; 30 of them are women. Tetyana Katrychenko, the coordinator of media initiative for human rights said so on air of Ukrainian Radio.
According to her, not all of these people were detained for political motives (some of them are charged with "espionage", "sabotage" and "high treason" in the occupied territories).
