Since the beginning of the day, March 16, Russian mercenaries landed seven attacks on Ukrainian positions in Donbas combat zone. The illegal armed units of pro-Kremlin militants used Minsk-banned weapons. Press office of Ukraine's Defense Ministry reported that on Tuesday evening.
All attacks took place in Donetsk region. In the vicinities of Vodyane, the occupants opened fire from 82 mm mortars, heavy machine guns and grenade launchers of various systems.
In Talakivka and Hnutove, the enemy opened fire from small arms and grenade launchers. Near Pavlopil, enemy troops fore heavy machine guns and stationary grenade launchers.
In Avdiivka and Lebedynske, Russian mercenaries opened fire from small arms.
Defense Ministry claims that Ukrainian forces took no casualties during the day.
Earlier, Ukraine claimed that there is a new peace plan aiming to solve the conflict in Donbas. The Russian side, however, denied any knowledge of that plan.
