On November 3, Ukrainian combat engineers defused more than four hectares of the area in the combat zone and passed 56 explosive items for further safe destruction.
Previously, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky asked the Red Cross to assist in the receiving of the list of prisoners and accelerate their swap. The organization answered that this issue is one of the priorities as President of the International Red Cross Committee Peter Maurer stated as the President’s Office reported.
The sides underlined the importance of the prisoner swap on the formula ‘all for all’.
“President of the International Red Cross Committee Peter Maurer reported that Ukraine is the most important among all European countries in the operational activities of the ICRC and the eighth-largest country in the world in terms of the volume of the organization’s work,” the message said.
Moreover, the President of Ukraine and President of the Red Cross discussed the process of mine clearance of 19 agreed areas in Donbas and plans to open new checkpoints at the demarcation line.
