One ceasefire violation took place in Donbas combat area since the beginning of the day, February 3. The press office of the Joint Forces Operation HQ reported that.

Ukrainian forces took no casualties.

During the day, Ukrainian combat engineers cleared five hectares of the area from landmines and passed 139 explosive items for further safe destruction.

As we reported  earlier, on February 2, Russian occupants opened fire on Ukrainian positions near Toretske, Donetsk region. One of Ukrainian servicemen sustained fatal injury, as a sniper shot him during the attack.

Dmytro Vlasenko - that's the name of the deceased Ukrainian serviceman. Vlasenko served as the Senior Seaman of the 503rd Detached Battalion of Marines.

"Yesterday, February 2, near Shumy village, a horde (reference to Russia, - 112 International) sniper inflicted a deadly injury on our warrior, Senior Seaman Dmytro Vlasenko. Comrades and medics administered the necessary aid, but one hour later, the doctors confirmed his death, as the wound proved fatal," reads the message.

Vlasenko served in the battalion for more than three years. Comrades in arms describe him as a valiant warrior, an honest and a kind man.
