During the last 24 hours, Russian mercenaries have opened fire on Ukrainian positions in Donbas once. No casualties among Ukrainian government troops were observed. The press office of the HQ of Joint Forces Operation reported that on Facebook.
Russian occupants used hand-held anti-tank and under-barrel grenade launchers to attack positions near Avdiivka.
The Ukrainian servicemen did not return fire, as the attack did not pose any threat to their lives and health.
Over the last 24 hours, Ukrainian combat engineers cleared four hectares of the territory from landmines, and passed 40 explosive items for further safe destruction.
As we reported earlier, Taras Kremin, Ukraine state language ombudsman claimed that stripping it of state privileges in occupied Donbas and illegally annexed Crimea makes a violation of human rights.
"The language-related legal framework in Donbas was canceled in the occupied territories of Ukraine; thus, Ukrainian language was deprived on the language status. It's not just a primitive imitation of procedures of so-called legal action of the occupant authority. It's a violation of human rights, and the PACE MPs and OSCE High Commissioner have been informed about it," Kremin said.
