Day in Donbas: Occupant violates ceasefire regime five times, one Ukrainian soldier dies

May 8, the Russian occupants violated the ceasefire regime five times in the Donbas combat zone. One Ukrainian soldier died as a result of the attack.  The Joint Forces Operation (JFO) HQ reported this on Facebook.

According to the report, all the shells happened in the Donets region. The pro-Kremlin militants opened fire at the positions of the Joint Forces operation near Mariinka, Pavlopil, Lebedynske and Opytne settlements.

The illegal armed of forces of the Russia Federation fired with the grenade launchers of various systems, heavy machine guns, and small arms.

“As a result of the attack, one serviceman of the Joint Forces operation perished. The Armed Forces of Ukraine stopped the fire by opening fire as well. The enemy’s casualties have been checking yet,” the report said.

Earlier, One Ukrainian soldier died in Donbas on May 8.
